FRANKLIN LEVI “BUD” MUMMA, SR, 76, of Terre Haute, IN and Formerly of Coalmont, IN passed away at 12:04 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born June 26, 1934 in Coalmont, IN to Franklin Levi Mumma and Goldia (Hair) Mumma.
Survivors include his wife Joann Carson Mumma of Terre Haute, IN whom he married July 10, 2004; son & daughter-in-law, Franklin L. & Sheilla Mumma Jr. of Jasonville, IN; step-daughters, Rajenna Ann Carson of Florida, Rebecca M. Sanders of Farmersburg, IN, Andrea Summerlot of Terre Haute, IN, Eva Marie Roschlien of Columbia, IL, Alicia Bailey of Greenwood, IN, Pamela Davis of Greenwood, IN; step-sons, Gary Carson of Evansville, IN, Bryan Carson of Farmersburg, IN, Ray Carson of Greenwood, IN; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Barbara Ann Mumma; sons, William Eugene Mumma and Claude Morgan Mumma; sisters, Ella Waldon and Lucille Burger; one step-son; and one grandson.
He was a self-employed and independent truck driver, member of Coalmont Church of God, and was an avid fisherman.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and Noon until service time Tuesday at the Coalmont Church of God. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at the Coalmont Church of God with Pastor Joy Rehmel officiating. Interment was in West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, IN.
