JACKIE W. “JACK” GAMBILL, 81 of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Greene County General Hospital Linton, IN.

He was born March 19, 1930 in Greene County, IN to Orval W. Gambill and Blanche P. (Johnson) Gambill.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Pat (Duncan) Gambill of Jasonville, IN whom he married on April 22, 1950; sons & daughters-in-law, Scott & Reva Gambill of Dugger, IN, Tim Gambill of Jasonville, John & Leeann Gambill of Jasonville; grandchildren, Sara Turner, Josh & Kelly Gambill, Jacob Levy Gambill-Kline, Alexandria & Josh Harris; great-grandchildren, Jace Gambill & Peyton Gambill; son-in-law, Joe Turner of Linton, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lynn Turner, September 2002; granddaughter, Jessi Gambill, September 2008.

Jack retired from Pfizer as a Laboratory Technician in the Recovery Dept. and was a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church. He loved guns, hunting, shooting, and enjoyed wood working when he was able.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.
