CHARLES R. GARDNER, 69, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in his residence.
He was born February 7, 1944 in Albany, IN to Lovel T. Gardner and Eva (Bedwell) Gardner.
Survivors include his daughters, Christi Gilbert & Jeff of Lewis, IN, Valerie Elkins & Brian of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Jessica Coleman & Brandon, Christopher Gambill, Makayla Elkins, Katelyn Elkins, Christina Elkins, Kinley Elkins; great-grandchildren, Hallee Coleman and Layla Coleman; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ilene Gardner; brothers, Robert Gardner, Kenneth Gardner and Wesley Gardner.
Charles retired from Alcan in Terre Haute, IN. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 11 – 1 Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating.
Interment was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Wilfred, IN.
