GARRY KEITH POWELL, 71, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 5:53 A.M. Saturday, August 5, 2023 in his home in Jasonville, IN.
He was born December 22, 1951 in Linton, IN to Chester Newt Powell and Mary Jane (Eller) Powell.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Bettigene R. (Wilson) Powell of Jasonville, IN who he married on March 8 1975; children, Theresa Harris (Thomas) of Elletsville, IN, Kathy Roberts (Troy) of Linton, IN, Keith Powell of Jasonville, IN, Ellen Baysinger (Marty) of Linton, IN; grandchildren, Bradley Harris, Destiny Pedrey, Gavin Roberts, Easton Roberts, Baylee Powell, Ivan Baysinger; great-grandchildren, Linkoln, Lila, Larira; siblings, Charlotte Holcomb of Linton, IN, Patrice Shafford (Bart) of Linton, IN, Tina Singleton (Eddy) of Linton, IN, Lori Branam of Bedford, IN; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2-sisters, Georgett Pridemore, Diane Sturgess.
Garry worked construction out of Laborer’s Union Local# 204. He enjoyed fishing when he could and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Garry’s wishes cremation is scheduled with a Celebration of Life to held at a later date.
