GENEVA M. (MCKEE) (GILBERT) SHARPE, 94, of Farmersburg, IN passed away at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 in Serenity Springs Senior Living Center in Jasonville, IN.
She was born October 5, 1930 in Clay County, IN to Roy McKee and Haddis (Bolinger) McKee.
Geneva married 1st husband Ed Gilbert, 2nd husband James J. Sharpe, both preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Ed Gilbert (Ann) of Coal City, IN, Michael Gilbert (Tammy)of Hymera, IN, Donna Seifert (Elden) of Shelburn, IN, Peggy Danko of Shelburn, IN, Bonnie Dean (Hugh) of Hymera, IN, Connie Neal of Jasonville, IN, Loretta White (Darryl) of Spencer, IN; step-children, James C. Sharpe of Farmersburg, IN, Jane Lee (Floyd) of Terre Haute, IN, Carol Stubbs (Larry) of Black Hawk, IN; grandchildren – 18; great-grandchildren – 42; great-great-grandchildren – 8; step-grandchildren – 8; step-great-grandchildren – 10; brother, Leland McKee of Midland, IN; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, step-daughter, Marilyn Bledsoe, brothers, Cecil McKee, Walter McKee, Joe McKee, Lester McKee, Wendel McKee, Dale McKee; sisters, Helen Hadley, Mary Richey, Nina Loudermilk.
Geneva was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bobby Weir and Pastor Jeff Lee officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
