GERALD L. “JERRY” PHILLIPS SR., 71, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:38 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025 at his home in Jasonville, IN.
He was born October 30, 1953 in Fayette County, IN to Robert M. Phillips and Beulah L. (Durham) Phillips.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Phillips of Jasonville, IN who he married on September 23, 2013; children, Gerald Phillips Jr. of Bicknell, IN, Roxanne Wilson (Eric) of Bruceville, IN, John Phillips (Patti) of Jasonville, IN, Holly Carter of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Devin Phillips (Courtney), Kecia Kerns (Chris), Trevor Trowbridge, Madison Phillips, Katelyn Phillips, Linzy Phillips, Jimmy John Phillips, Chase Wilson (Teresa); great-grandchildren, Anaya, Bodhi, Osias, Isaiah, Carson; siblings, Sandy Devin (Byron), Sherry Ray.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Sharon Carson, Bob Phillips, David Phillips.
Jerry started driving trucks at age 18 and drove for 37 years. He also worked as an auto body repair and paint man for many years and was definitely the best auto body and paint person around. Jerry loved his family and friends so much and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved his pets, Bull, Angel and Mia.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, cremation will be scheduled.
