BRENT RODNEY GILBERT, 37, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:09 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 in Plainfield, IN.
He was born September 19, 1976 in Terre Haute, IN to Leslie Ray Gilbert and Denise L. (Miller) Gilbert.
Survivors include his parents, Leslie Ray Gilbert and Denise L. (Miller) Gilbert of Jasonville, IN; sons, Lane Gilbert of Sullivan, IN, Laikin Gilbert of Sullivan, IN; brothers, Justin Gilbert of Irving, IL, Joshua Gilbert of Sullivan, IN, Ryan Gilbert of Linton, IN; paternal grandmother, Mary McKinley of Jasonville, IN; maternal grandmother, Barbara A. Miller of Linton, IN; mother of his sons, Rachal Gilbert of Sullivan, IN; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Leslie Ray Gilbert, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Leslie W. Gilbert; maternal grandfather, Robert C. Miller.
He was a 1996 Sullivan High School Graduate. He had worked at Allomatic in Sullivan, IN and Great Dane of Brazil, IN. He attended the Saron United Church of Christ and the Hymera Apostolic Church. Brent loved outdoor sports, fishing and spending time with his sons.
Visitation was scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. service time Wednesday. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Pastor Mike Roth and Pastor Kevin Gilbert officiating.
Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
