Mrs. Wright was instrumental in the founding of the Shakamak Community Church in Jasonville in the 1970s and remained faithfully devoted to the church for the rest of her life. She attended First Christian Church while living in Paris. She was a model wife and caregiver to her husband of over fifty-nine years. Gladys loved gardening, camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, and all other things outdoors with the exception of swimming, thunderstorms, and snakes. She was talented at cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, and worrying. Grandma Wright was happiest when working in a garden, cooking for others, or spending time with her grandchildren.
