WILBA WANDA LEE GORBY, 85, of Hymera, Indiana passed away at 5:51 a.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Sullivan County Community Hospital, Sullivan, Indiana.

She was born February 14, 1927 in Clay County, IN to William Beane and Rosa (Goodman) Beane Strait.

Wilba married Walter Eldin Gorby, Jr. on August 24, 1946 and he passed away on January 21, 1989.

Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Victoria & Duane Kirton of Jasonville, IN, Jeani & John Robert Brown of Jasonville, IN, Nila Bose of Hymera, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Michael & Barbara Gorby of Martinsville, IN; step-sister, Patty Hays of Lafayette, IN; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Steve Gorby.

Wilba attended the Lattis Creek School. She had worked at Crane, Allied Sales in Black Hawk and was also a caregiver.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Minister Randy Butler officiating.

Interment was at the K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
