JASPER RAY HAMILTON, 81, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away 11:17 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan, IN. He was born March 2, 1929 in Greene County, IN to Alphie Hamilton and Delphie (Boling) Hamilton.

Survivors include his wife Norma Lee (Godfrey) Hamilton of Jasonville, IN whom he married on August 26, 1988;  son & daughter-in-law, Tracy & Janell Hamilton of Jasonville, IN; step-son, Tim & Kim Rehmel of Jasonville, IN; step-daughter, Debra Landis of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Jeremy & Mindy Hamilton, Curtis Hamilton, Donnie Wayne & Cora Landis, Annette & John Burney, Melissa Landis, John & Niki Landis, Brittney Rehmel, Timothy Rehmel, Jan & Pat Gilbert, Michael Rehmel & Belinda; eight great-grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Vernie & Janice Hamilton of Jasonville, IN; mother-in-law, Helen Godfrey of Jasonville, IN; brother-in-law, Bob Godfrey of Jasonville, IN; sister-in-law, Judy & Paris Bandy of Indianapolis, IN; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-son, John Rehmel; brohter, Lee Hamilton; sisters, Mary Huey, Wilma Woodard; Delema Godsey, sister-in-law, Ena Mowery; brother-in-law, Harold Mowery; Nephew, Greg Mowery.

Jasper attended Black Creek School in Linton, worked at Marion Brick in Brazil and was also a truck driver for Wabash Valley Trucking. He was a member of Jasonville Church of God, was a member of Teamsters Union Local #135, the American Legion in Indianapolis and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and Noon until Service Time Saturday at the Jasonville Church of God. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the church with Pastor Jonathan Heard and Rev. Tracy Hamilton officiating. Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
