HAROLD L. “PUDE” KELLER SR., 82, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 4:14 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at his home.

He was born February 14, 1943 in Linton, IN to Clarence Keller and Rose (Shields) Keller.

Pude married Marjorie Mae (Harrison) Keller on October 24, 1964,she passed away on February 10, 2007  .

Survivors include his sons, Harold L. Keller Jr. (Wendy) of Bedford, IN, Scott Keller (Shasta) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, BritneeDuckworth (Matt), Abby Turpen (Derek), Brandon Keller, Braden Keller (Jona); great-grandchildren, Cooper Duckworth, BentleeDuckworth, Blaiklee Keller, Layla Turpen; brothers, Marvin Keller of Jasonville, IN, Roy Keller of Jasonville, IN; brothers in-law, George Harrison (Jerrie) of Lewis, IN, Charlie Bose of Dugger, IN; sisters in-law, Sharon Keller of Jasonville, IN, Carolyn Keller of Jasonville, IN; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Randy Greene (Joe), Ronda Berry, Bob Flater (Traci).

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; brothers, Russell Keller, Paul Keller, Joe Keller; brothers and sisters in-law, Linda Keller, Kenny & Alice Harrison, Ray & Dixie Glenn. Kay Bose, Harold Harrison; special friend, Iris Flater.  

Pude worked for Peabody Coal Company, the City of Jasonville and the Jasonville Volunteer Fire Department where he served as Chief from March 2003 to February 2013. Pude enjoyed going to the casino, going fishing and mushroom hunting. He was always ready to help people in need. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially playing with his grandkids & great-grandkids.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday January 15, 2026 with an Indiana Fire Fighters Association Memorial Service at 7 p.m., and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the Funeral Home. Services are 11 a.m. Fridaywith Pastor Darren Sluder and Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Pude to Jasonville Volunteer Fire Department. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
