SHIRLEY FRANCES HARRIS, 76, of Bainbridge, Indiana and formerly of Jasonville passed away peacefully at 8:52 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
She was born February 17, 1936 in Jasonville, IN to Ray H. Harris and Effie L. (Hutchens) Harris.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Kenneth R. & Denise Davies of Bainbridge, IN, Marjorie Corbett of Bainbridge, IN, Mary Davies Wright of Terre Haute, IN, William H. Davies, Jr. of Bainbridge, IN, Debbie & Johnnie Briones of Greencastle, IN, Rick & Kathy Harris of Moncks Corners, SC, Anita & Ted Myers of Marshall, IN, DJ & Rachel Wasmer of West Terre Haute, IN, Pam Wasmer & James Chipliss of Bloomington, IN; several great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Donald Wasmer of Terre Haute, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ella Pearl Davies, William Harris, Gilbert Harris and Marjorie Wasmer.
Shirley was a beautician for many years. During her time in Jasonville she was a member of several civic organizations. She was a caregiver for her family as well as Vice-President of Harris Stone Service, Inc., was a member of Lawton Street Christian Church in Jasonville and had lived happily at The Waters of Greencastle where she was a joy to all.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.
Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
