ALICE L. (TREADWAY) HARRISON, 71, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 1:08 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Jasonville, IN.
She was born November 14, 1939 in Sullivan County, IN to Thomas Treadway and Edna Ethel (Treadway) Treadway.
Alice married Richard Kennedy Harrison on November 2, 1963 and he passed away on July 24, 2005.
Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Tamie & Mike Duncan of Jasonville, IN and Marjorie & Darrell DeHart of Paris, IL; grandchildren, Kathleen & Ethan Ludwig, Wesley Marshall, Joey Revell and Allison Jordan; step-grandchildren, Brandon Duncan and Kyle Duncan; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers & sister-in-law, Tom & Donna Treadway of Brazil, IN, Larry Treadway of KY, Jim Treadway of TX, Ralph Treadway of NC and Bob Evitts of TX; sister, Nancy Hill of TX; and all other special extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; baby daughter, Kathy Lee Harrison; brother, Donny Treadway.
Alice had served as Precinct #1 Committeeman for about 30 years, had waitressed at Cliff and Goldy’s Tavern and was a housekeeper at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center for 5 years. She was a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God Church where she was a Nursery Sunday School Teacher. She loved to play Bingo, go fishing, and enjoyed spending time on the river. She was an avid softball and baseball fan of her grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
