DONNA KAY HOUSE, 70, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in her home.

She was born August 30, 1943 in Terre Haute, IN to William Edward Killen and Edith Martha (Loose) Killen.

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” H. House of Jasonville, IN whom she married on November 9, 1963, they just celebrated their 50th Anniversary; daughters & son-in-law, Robin & Todd Huff of Jasonville, IN, Connie House & Bret Richardson of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Treston Schmidtz, Kindrah Schmidtz, Jacob Huff, Madison Huff ; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James J. Killen, Robert L. Killen, William A. Killen, John “Jack” Killen; sisters, Wilma “Suzie” Killen Richey, Jeanetta Killen Hoopengarner; granddaughter, Lynzee Schmidtz.

Donna had worked at Paige’s Market, Glascol Apparatus in Terre Haute and Fox Fire Environmental. She attended ISU where she got a degree in Art. She was a member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church and a Lifetime Member of VFW Cooties in West Terre Haute. Donna was a 50 year member of the O.E.S. as well as being Past Worthy Matron. She was a member of Hymera O.E.S #289 and a dual member of Sullivan O.E.S #188. She was also Grand Representative to Pennsylvania from Indiana. She was known for her carmel corn. Donna enjoyed bowling, fishing, bringing home snakes, turtles, salamanders, mushroom hunting and being outdoors where she loved to mow and garden. She played drums in her school marching band. She played on a travel softball league and helped start the softball league in Hymera. She enjoyed watching wrestling, boxing and rodeo. Donna was a board game, card, dice addict and played solitaire and marbles. She liked her frozen cokes and chocolate. Donna loved her family, especially her grandkids!

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday with O.E.S. Memorial Service scheduled for 7 p.m., and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice. Envelopes were available at the funeral home.
