JACQUE S. (BRUCE) REHMEL, 74, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 10:39 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 surrounded by her loving family in The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born November 30, 1949 in Linton, IN to James Lowell Bruce and Edna Marie (Everhart) Bruce.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Larry Rehmel of Jasonville, IN whom she married on October 14, 1967; children, Brian D. Rehmel (Julie) of Jasonville, IN, Deana Sue Dickinson (Benjamin) of Evansville, IN, Dawn Kay Rehmel of Jasonville, IN, bonus daughter, Shasta Gilbert (Matt) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Corbin Lowell Rehmel, Meghan Stewart (Dustin), Katherine Dickinson, Kalina Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Jaelynn Stewart, Sawyer Stewart, Jamesyn Stewart, Beau Stewart; brother, James Lowell Bruce (Glenda) of Pittsboro, IN; brother in-law, Dale Flater of Pittsboro, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Judy Becker, Joan Flater; great-granddaughter, Saylor Stewart.
Jacque’s life was a testament to the power of love and dedication, beginning with her formative years at Shakamak high school. As a homemaker, she poured her heart and soul into raising her family. Her grandchildren’s sports endeavors, especially softball and basketball, brought her immense delight. Her exceptional cooking was a reflection of her love for others. She shared many happy moments with her husband at the casino. Swinging gently on her porch swing, surrounded by the beauty of hummingbirds, she embodied the spirit of love and kindness
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ron Riggs officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville, IN.
