JAMES D. “JIM” CRICHFIELD, 72, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at his residence in Jasonville, IN. He was born September 16, 1937 in Sullivan, IN to Harold A. & Kathryn F. (Maple) Crichfield. He was married to Carolyn R. (Deakins) Crichfield on August 14, 1970.

Survivors include his wife Carolyn R. Crichfield of Jasonville; daughters & sons-in-law, Daryla & Gary Miller of Lewis, IN and Suzanne & Kent Kalar of Shelbyville, IN; grandchildren, Delaney Kalar, Sarah Kalar, Sierra Miller, Eric Miller and Samantha Miller; brother & sister-in-law, William & Sandy Crichfield of Terre Haute, IN; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Crichfield.

Jim was a Domestic Driver for Amerigas where he retired in September 1, 2005.  He was a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God Church; and American Legion Post #172. He served in the U.S. Army.

Visitation was 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday all at the Cox Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 at the Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street in Jasonville with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Interment was in Peavey Cemetery, Howesville, IN. Military graveside rites were conducted. Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian St. in Jasonville.
