JAMES E. “BUD” RUSSELL, 61, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 10:50 P.M. Friday, May 12, 2023 in Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
He was born November 16, 1961 in Linton, IN to James W. “Jim” Russell and Daphne L. “Daffy” (Phillips) Russell.
Bud married his high school sweetheart, his wife of 33 years, Janelle Russell of Jasonville, IN; daughters, Jessica N. Davis (Matthew) of Worthington, IN, Kate L. Russell of Jasonville, IN; granddaughter, Averie N. Davis; sisters, Monica “Tutti” Russell of Jasonville, IN, Janell Hamilton, (Tracy) of Jasonville, IN; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bud graduated from Shakamak High School Class of 1981. He worked at Rash Hardware for over 20 years, both in the store and going on service calls. Bud enjoyed tinkering in his garage, working on old cars. He enjoyed fishing, going to swap meets and auctions. He also enjoyed going to truck pulls with his buddies. Bud enjoyed watching westerns with his little siamese buddy, Milo.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Pastor Sam Bush officiating with a Masonic Memorial Service.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Bud to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
