JERE L. LANDIS, 85, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 11:30 P.M. Saturday, August 6, 2022 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born October 7, 1936 in Linton, IN to Rex Landis and Margaret (Cook) Landis.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Bobbe Landis of Jasonville, IN who he married on April 2, 1954;         daughters, Lisa (Kennett) Rehmel (David) of Linton, IN, Gina Lovelace (Rick) of Dugger, IN; grandchildren, Joshua Kennett, Ashlee Nickerson (Johnny), Parker Lovelace (Kelsey); great-grandchildren, Brooklynn, Claire, Bentley, Lilliana, Emma, Maggie; siblings, Bill Landis of Linton, IN, Janetta Heaton of Linton, IN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jerry “Brud” Landis; brother, Jim Landis; sister, Judy Landis.

Jere graduated Linton-Stockton High School. He worked for United Parcel Service, Public Service Indiana and Shakamak Schools. Jere was a member and Past Master of Jasonville Masonic Lodge #530 F&AM. Jere had a passion for photography and because of that the family has countless pictures of the many moments and events of their lives. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jere was devoted to his family and loved spending time with them, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids who affectionately called him Pap.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Private Family services are scheduled with burial to follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
