JERRY D. HILL, 91 of Jasonville, IN passed away at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Glenburn Senior Living in Linton, IN.
He was born July 13, 1935 in Jasonville, IN to Samuel George Hill and Wilma M. (Burris) Hill.
Survivors include his children, Rusty Hill of Jasonville, IN, Rhonda Hayes (Jim) of Jasonville, IN, Robby Hill of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Amy, Alissa, Brandon, Jesse, Jacob, Jason; 9- great grandchildren; siblings, Sharon Dudley (Roger) of Jasonville, IN, Debbie Hill of Bloomington, IN, Jeff Hill of Bloomington, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy R. Hill; sons, Randy Hill and Ritchie Hill; and sister, Nancy Alexander and Ross Hill.
Jerry graduated from Midland High School in the Class of 1953 and joined the US Army right after. He married Patsy R. Mitchell on October 26, 1954. He later joined the Air Guard from which he retired July 20,1995. Jerry worked in electronics doing radar and radio repair at the Indianapolis Airport and retired from Crane. He also gave back to his community by volunteering as a Wright Township firefighter for many years and working with inmates in a prison ministry. Jerry was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. He liked hunting, fishing, camping, playing basket ball and baseball, and enjoyed flying his airplane. His joy in life was being with his grandkids to teach them and share his many hobbies.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
