CARL W. JOHNSON, 96, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 3:03 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 in Meadows Manor East, Terre Haute, IN.
He was born April 27, 1919 in Vigo County, IN to Don Johnson and Ruth (Cook) Johnson.
Carl married Helen (Julian) Johnson on October 19, 1940 and she passed away on June 15, 2006.
Survivors include his daughters & sons-in-law, Nancy Davis & Jim of Brazil, IN, Mary DeLong & Gary of Terre Haute, IN, Barbara West & Bradley of Coalmont, IN, Patricia Greene & Todd of Jasonville, IN; son, Donald Johnson of California; grandchildren, Angela Davis, Ariann Sagarsee & Scott, Philip DeLong & Rachelle, Christina Brown & Michael, Matthew West, Tyrel Bennett, Brianna Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Tony Johnson, Rebecca Hallman; 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Billy Johnson; grandsons, Brian Davis and Jeffery Johnson; sister, Ruby Lynch.
Carl had been a welder for Stran Steel in Terre Haute, IN. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Graveside Services were 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Poplar Cemetery in Clay County, IN with Pastor Randy Tucker officiating along with Military Graveside Rites.
