JUNE C. WEST, 87, of Linton and formerly of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:57 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN.
She was born December 1, 1931 in Clay County, IN to Augustus Defo “Dock” Denny and Nell (Hutchinson) Denny.
June married Harry Heston West on July 3, 1952 and he passed away on January 16, 1985.
Survivors include her children, Marsha Walton (Steve) of Linton, Carol Tuttle of Jasonville, Teresa Sloan (Donnie) of Linton, Mary West of Jasonville, Harry West (Teresa) of Jasonville; grandchildren, Jeremy McDonald, Lee McDonald, Cara Tuttle Bell, Tara Tuttle, Marcus Tuttle, Taylor Sloan, Kelsey Sloan, Mark West, Cameron West; great-grandchildren, Luke McDonald, Lane McDonald, Preston McDonald, Sofia McDonald; siblings, Norman Denny (Anna) of Jasonville, Frank Denny (Karen) of Campbellsville, KY; sister-in-law, Beverly Denny of Aurora, MO; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Augustus “Dock” and Nell Denny; husband, Harry Heston West; sisters, Rosemary Russell, Hazel Fox; brothers, Freeman Denny, Everett Denny.
June retired from Crane Naval Weapons Support Center as a supply clerk. She graduated from Midland High School Class of 1949. June was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church. She loved being with her family and church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 2 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Brad West officiating.
Interment will be at Sanders Cemetery in Lewis, IN.
