DOROTHY G. KENNETT, 87, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 4:35 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2014 in St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil, IN.
She was born February 5, 1927 in Sullivan, IN to Seigal Marratta & Elsie (Shingshang) Marratta.
Dorothy married Lyle Kennett on July 30, 1966 and he passed away on December 29, 1999.
Survivors include her daughter, Rita Feller & Ron of Brazil, IN; sons, Mark McKinney of Terre Haute, IN, Jack McKinney of West Terre Haute, IN; step-daughter, Marilyn Phegley & Kevin of Shelburn, IN; step-sons, Kenneth Kennett & Christy, James Kennett & Billie, William Kennett & Deb all of Jasonville, IN; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters; 3 brothers; 3 granddaughters; 1 great-great grandson.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a member of the Jasonville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #172.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Interment was at the K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
