JOHN R. “JACK” KESSNER, JR., 91, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Jasonville, IN.
He was born June 28, 1923 in Jasonville, IN to John R. Kessner, Sr. and Della (Moss) Kessner.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Bunny Kessner of Terre Haute, IN; nieces, Dawn Smith, Sharon, Rita; nephews, John Kessner, Jeff Scarbrough, Rick Scarbrough.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Maurice Kessner, Jimmy Ray Kessner, Jerry Kessner; sisters & brother-in-law, Ruby Kessner, Marie Stanley & Bob.
Jack had worked for the Jasonville Street Department for many years. He attended the Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from Noon until 2 p.m. service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Ross officiating.
Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
