KEVIN LOWELL WASNIDGE, 56, of Coalmont, IN passed away at 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 8, 1965 in Linton, IN to Jerry Wasnidge and Doris (Wall) Simpson.
Survivors include his daughter, Brenli Wasnidge (Dylan Mathis) of Denver, CO; soon to be grandson, Dylan Eliot Lowell Mathis; mother, Doris Simpson of Coalmont, IN; loving girlfriend, Robin Carroll of Monticello, IN; siblings, Kathy Townsend of Coalmont, IN, Kimberly Daniels (Jeff) of Hebron, KY, Nila Smith (David) of Jasonville, IN, Rob Gambill (Missy) of Staunton, IN, Jerry Lee Wasnidge (Stacy) of Jasonville, IN, Sheila Jones (Mike) of Mooresville, IN, Starr Simpson of Jasonville, IN, Dana Duncan (Mark) of Jasonville, IN, Laura Secrest (Kevin) of Terre Haute, IN ; step-mother, Gail Wasnidge of Jasonville, IN; special cousin, Dave Weir, and his granddog-Jaxon, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Wasnidge and stepfather, Vola Jay Simpson; brother, Tony Cazee; sister, Shelly Felker.
Kevin graduated Shakamak High School Class of 1984. Kevin worked as a heavy equipment operator, laid fiber optic cable and worked construction until being disabled. He loved the outdoors and loved to hunt mushrooms, deer and birds, fishing, and collecting Indian artifacts. He was a member of Jasonville American S.A.L #172 and a lifetime member of the NRA. He attended Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Kevin loved his family and the children in his life adored him.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 and 9 A.M. until Funeral Services at 11 A.M. Wednesday, July 6, 2022 with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
