October 12, 1959 – August 30, 2026. Kimberly Rose Carrig, 66, passed away surrounded by her family and friends at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born October 12, 1959, in Chicago, IL, to Carl and Iris Law. She was born and raised in Chicago, attended Catholic school and excelled as an art student. Before Kim got sick, she spent her early days as a cocktail waitress and a caregiver. Kimberly is survived by her daughters, Carrie Ingenito and her husband Joe. Lisa Menke and her husband Jeremiah; her special son, Jason Clemons; her grandchildren Branton, Jocelynn, Kasen, Asiah, Sofia, Kendric, Jaxin, and Joey; and her best buddy, her dog Hazel. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Law (March 1996), and her mother, Iris Law (November 2007). Kimberly loved gardening, antiquing, fishing with her grandsons, cooking, arts and crafts with her granddaughter, baking and making holiday candy. Those who knew her well remember her in the kitchen, her garden, and the way she made people feel at home. She was always up for a good cookout. She never knew a stranger, she loved her tea, home remedies, and the word “doopa”! If you did Kim wrong you were a doopa if she loved you- you were a doopa—she said it with both a frown and a smile! Her greatest legacy will be the love she gave so freely. Kim’s wishes were to be cremated—Samaritan Affordable funerals and cremations will be conducting her wishes! A celebration of life for Kim will be held at a later date.
