RALPH EUGENE LAWRENCE, 87, of Jasonville, Indiana went to be with his Heavenly Father at 8:58 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in Eskenazi Hospital Burn Center in Indianapolis, IN.  

He was born December 27, 1929 in Terre Haute, IN to Herbert Delno Lawrence and Zelphia (Baker) Lawrence.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Myrtle (McBroom) Lawrence of Jasonville whom he married on September 5, 1975; sister, Bonnie (Lawrence) Dickerson of Brazil; aunt, Mary Haney of Pueblo, CO; children and spouses, Connie Lawrence of Athens, TN, Sharon Stevenson of Sullivan, Pamela & Steve Gadberry of Sellersburg, Nancy & Tom Dean of Edmund, OK; step-children and spouses, Kathie (King) & Mike Schofield of Indianapolis, Margaret (King) & Richard Wead of Aiken, SC, Regina (King) & Danny Campbell of Parsons, TN; grandchildren, Jamie & Brent Fletcher, Jennifer & Daniel Culbertson, Jessica & Sean Mitchell, Megan & Adam Furer, Hannah Dean, Natalie Dean, Hope Dean; step-grandchildren, David Campbell, Paul Campbell, Jennifer Wead; 7 great-grandchildren, Noah Mitchell, Logan Mitchell, Lyla Mitchell, Carson Fletcher, Kaitlyn Fletcher, Denalee Archibald, Kimber Campbell; several nieces, nephews, cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Juanita (Lawrence) Myers; brother, Larry Lawrence; brother-in-law, Max Dickerson.

Ralph was a graduated from Staunton High School Class of 1947. He was a member of Lincoln Christian Church, the El Shaddai Emmaus Community. Ralph was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was very much loved and will be dearly missed by his family. He worked as a computer programmer most of his life and loved working in his yard and garden. He was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. where he was an airplane radio operator.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Noon until 1 p.m. service time at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Cliff Gano officiating.

Interment will be at New Harmony Cemetery on HWY 63 in Prairieton, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
