LEX ANTHONY BROWN, 15, of Merom, IN passed Saturday, June 29, 2024 near West Union, IL.
He was born July 23, 2008 in Sullivan, IN to Matthew W. Brown and Regina Sue (Frayser) Edmonson.
Survivors include his mother, Regina S. Edmonson (Michael) of Merom, IN; father, Matt W. Brown of Shelburn, IN; siblings, Ricky Brown of Merom, IN, Athena Brown of Shelburn, IN, Jay Edmonson of Merom, IN; step-parent, Megan Williams (Damien) of Oblong, IL; step-grandparents, Mark Edmonson (Myra Brickey) of Shelburn, IN, Gina Sue Dudley (Dave) of Martinsville, IL; aunt, Becca Frayser (Rob Bowser) of Coal City, IN, uncle Jim Brown of Trafalgar, IN, uncle Rick Hill (Paula) of Coalmont, IN; step-aunt, Jonnie Martinez of New Mexico, step uncles, Scott Edmonson of Terre Haute, IN, Mark Edmonson Jr. of Coalmont, IN, many other aunts and uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his, maternal grandparents, Matthew Frayser (Barbara Frayser, paternal grandparents, George Brown (Joyce Brown), step-uncle, Jay Stephens, step-aunt, Helen Thomas.
Lex liked football and loved riding his mini-bike and 4-wheeler with his best friend Casey Clark. He enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together again. He loved working with his Dad doing wood work and working on cars. Lex was a hard worker on the family homestead in Merom where they had a big garden and raised chickens and turkeys. He liked playing video games and riding bikes with his brother Ricky. He loved to visit aunt Becca’s and go out in the woods walking and riding the trails, he also liked mushroom and frog hunting. Lex liked knives and playing with the family dog Tilly.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Funeral Home.Services are at 2 P.M. with Pastor John Standiford officiating.
Interment will be at Scotland Cemetery in Scotland, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Lex to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
