RAYMOND L. “RIP” LITTLE, 83, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Linton Nursing and Rehab in Linton, IN.

He was born January 2, 1931 in Vigo County, IN to James Little and Alta (Romine) Little.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jennette (Janet) Lynn (Liston) Little of Jasonville, IN whom he married on September 12, 1954; daughters & son-in-law, Jane Ann & Eric Siepman of Lewis, IN, Lynn Halstead of Lewis, IN; son & daughter-in-law, Raymond “Tim” & Chris Little of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Mereith & Steven Mast, A.J. Little, Albree Halstead, Krissy Kelly, Jillian Kelly; step-grandchildren, Erica & Justin Crawley, Trent Siepman; great-grandchildren, Luke Mast, Monroe Jane Mast, Audrey Little; step-great-grandchildren, Morgan Redington, Kaylee Crawley; sister, Dorothy Padgett of Farmersburg, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Lois Glenn, Patsy Stassen; brothers, James Little, Bill Little.

Raymond retired from Peabody Coal Company where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and was also a retired farmer. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Jasonville American Legion Post #172. Raymond loved to fly, loved racing and attending races with his son Tim and racing buddy Brent Clingerman. He also built and owns his own Sprint Car.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from Noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral Services followed visitation at 2 p.m. November 16, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Military Services were conducted.

Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, IN at a later date.

In lieu of flowers contributions were made in memory of Raymond to Multiple MYELOMA, Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes Association. Envelopes were available at the funeral home.
