LLOYD DEAN WHITTINGTON, 87, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 6:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 in Cobblestone Crossing Health Campus in Terre Haute, IN.
He was born June 21, 1934 in Hedrick, IA to Melvin Whittington and Edna (Robertson) Whittington.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Beverly J. (Edwards) Whittington of Jasonville, IN whom he married on July 11, 1959; children, Jerry Whittington of Atlanta, GA, Sheryl Ross (Jerry) of Jasonville,. IN, Debbie Anderson (Troy) of Cashton, WI;grandchildren, Amanda Burcham (Greg), Hannah Clanney (Jerel), Tabitha Nichols (A.J.), Caleb Anderson (Alissa), Taylor Anderson, Sydney Anderson; great-grandchildren – 14; several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Joel Whittington, Todd Whittington; siblings, Paul Whittington (Myrtle), Vernon Whittington(Wilma), Marjorie Duke (Vernon), Eloise Wilhoit (Carl), Carol Stanley (Arlo).
Lloyd graduated Farson High School in Farson, IA. He Pastored Victory Baptist Church in Berlin, WI for 23 years, worked as Sales Manager for Pommerening Chevrolet in Oshkosh, WI for 25 years.Lloyd never missed a day of work. He managed 16 apartments in the complex they lived in. He was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 9 to 11 A.M Monday, November 15, 2021 at Blessed Hope Baptist Church with services immediately following at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jerry Ross officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
