MILDRED PAULINE LOCKARD, 72, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in her residence.
She was born August 11, 1945 in Greene County, IN to George E. Stuppy and Lela M. (Mason) Stuppy.
Survivors include her husband, David Lockard of Jasonville who she married on April 12, 1996; children, Julie Stetter (Mark) of Linton, Molly Rose (Travis) of Linton; step-daughter, Shiela Morris of West Terre Haute; grandchildren, Ashley Stetter, Megan Stetter, Paul Fagg, Jessica Hall; step-grandchildren, David Lockard, Billie Lockard, Samantha Lockard, Frankie Morris, Alfreda Morris, Josh Morris, Cheyenne Morris; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenny Stuppy of Plainville, Charles Stuppy (Kay) of Dugger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband and father of her children, George C. Griffith.
Mildred worked at Linton-Stockton School, Cord Factory and also worked as a waitress in Bloomfield as a young girl. She is a member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Mildred enjoyed reading books, doing word searches and watching TV.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Cox Funeral Home. Saturday, January 6, 2018 Visitation was at the Friendly Grove Baptist Church beginning at 12 Noon. Funeral Services followed at 1 p.m. with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment was at Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis, IN.
