MARCIA M. (MELTON) REESE, 96, of Jasonville, In passed away at 7:19 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023 in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
She was born January 1, 1927 in Clay City, IN to Otis Melton and Josephine (Cooprider) Melton.
Survivors include her grandsons, Christopher Fox of Linton, IN, Matthew S. Fox (Kerry) of Linton, IN; great-grandchildren, Kirsten M. Fox, Kage Fougerousse, Addison Fougerousse (Keaton); great-great-grandchild, Novah Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Stephanie Fox/Orman; son, Stephen J. Reese; sisters, Jo Ann Luther, Rose Lee Cotter; nephew, Richard L. Luther; companion, John Crowe.
Marcia graduated Clay City High School Class of 1945. She worked in her family’s restaurant Eelite Café while she was in high school, Dr. Sam Rotmans office, the Freeman Greene Hospital. She also worked in real estate and the House Of James Beauty College in Indianapolis. Marcia was in TriKappa, was a member of American Legion Auxillary Post# 331 in Brownsburg, IN. She enjoyed crocheting, working crossword puzzles and word searches.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 4 P.M. with Pastor Randy Tucker officiating. She will be placed in her crypt at Rose Lawn Cemetery at a later date.
