MARGARET A. “MARGIE” (ROEHM) WOODS, 88, of Shelburn, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Millers Merry Manor in Sullivan, IN.
She was born November 1, 1931 in Terre Haute, IN to Eugene M. “Bud” Roehm and Reba (Zoller) Roehm.
Survivors include her children, Steve Hinesley (Bridget) of Sullivan, IN, Susan Baldwin (Bill) of Canton, CT, stepson, Larry Woods; grandchildren, Courtney Zander (Mike), Renee Hagen (Ross), Matt Hinesley (Katy), Maddy Willis (Zach); great-grandchildren, Max Hinesley, step-grandchildren, Scott Woods, Brian Woods, Amy Woods and Brad Woods; brother, Robert Roehm (Carolyn) of West Palm Beach, FL; 3 nieces, and special friend, William J. O’Connell of Lewis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Jack E. Hinesley and
Wayne E. “Woody” Woods, son, Jack W. Hinesley while serving his country in the United States Marine Corp as a Master Sergeant and stepson, Joe Woods.
Margaret was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Jasonville, the Wabash Valley Herb Society and Sullivan County Garden Club. She loved and enjoyed her family, friends and neighbors. She was an avid horsewoman. Margie enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, her dogs, horses and cat. Margaret’s family would like to thank the staff of Millers Merry Manor for their loving care of Margie while she was there.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be at 11 A.M. Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church 327 W. McKinley St., Jasonville.
Interment will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN.
