MARILYN JUNE (Rhodes) ANDERSON, 60 of Jasonville, IN, passed away at 7:10 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. She was born September 12, 1949 in Taylor County, KY.
Marilyn married Walter C. Anderson of Jasonville on October 4, 1994 and he survives. Other survivors include her son & daughter-in-law, Mike D. & Belinda Rehmel of Lyons, IN; daughter & son-in-law, Jan & Pat Gilbert of Lewis, IN; step-daughter, Maisie Chantel Anderson of Indianapolis, IN; sisters & brothers-in-law, Shirley & Robert Brinson of Linton, IN, Linda Lee & Bill Russell of Linton, IN, Linda Sue & Steve Knight of New Albany, IN; brother & sister-in-law, Bob & Bonnie Rogers of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Nichole June Gilbert, Derek Gilbert, Lacey Gilbert, Erica Gilbert, Devin Rehmel and Whitney Rehmel; great-grandson, Cole Gilbert; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; sister, Wanda Bryant; brother, Charles Rogers.
She was a homemaker, Linton High School Graduate Class of 1968, member of the Dugger Church of Christ, The Ellis Community Bunco Club. Marilyn loved to crochet, was an avid reader, enjoyed writing poetry, and loved her grandchildren, great-grandson, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service time Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2010 with Bro. Nick Moore officiating. Interment was in Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, IN.
