LOUISE MATTESON, 97, of Hymera, Indiana passed away at 2:00 a.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 in Miller’s Merry Manor, Sullivan, IN.
She was born October 13, 1918 in Clark County, IL to Dan Drake and Dessie (Decker) Drake.
Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Thomas D. Jr. & Ada Mae Matteson of Java, VA, James Matteson of Hymera, IN; grandchildren, Michael Matteson, Allan Matteson, Ryan Matteson, Lisa Matteson; great-grandchildren, Jolee & Matt Matteson, Ashley Matteson & Ryan McKinnley, Ashley Matteson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Matteson; son, Stanley Earl Matteson; sister, Dorothy (Drake) Tuttle; brother, Bud Drake; grandsons, Troy Allan Matteson, Daniel J. Matteson; daughter-in-law, Linda K. Matteson.
Louise graduated from West York High School. She retired from Sears Roebuck Co. in Terre Haute, IN and had worked at Perfection Packaging in Shelburn, IN. She was a member of O.E.S. Lodge in Hymera, IN.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Brad West officiating.
Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, IN.
