DAVID “DAVE” MATTOX, 84, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 11:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018 in his residence in Jasonville.

He was born June 29, 1933 in Terre Haute, IN to Earl Mattox and Evelyn (Edmonson) Mattox.

David married Linda L. (Crysel) Mattox on May 22, 1954 and she passed away on December 31, 2011.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debra K. & John Yeryar of Jasonville; grandchildren, Krista (Jared) Cornelius, Brent (Misty) Yeryar, and Jesse (Cammi) Yeryar; several great-grandchildren; brother, Joe Mattox of Loogootee; nieces and nephews, Kathy Collins (Hal Hall), Steve (Amanda) Mattox, Bill (Missy) Mattox, Doug (Denise) Mattox, and Jim (Sandra) Mattox.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Betty Lou Mattox; brother, Bill Mattox.

David was self-employed as a farmer and rancher for 60 years, a fuel truck delivery driver for 50 years, as well as a school bus driver. He was a member of Coalmont Church of God. He was also a member of the Army National Guard for 12 years.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 5-8 p.m Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Durstine officiating.

Interment was at Sanders Cemetery in Lewis, IN.
