LEILA R. MAY, 53, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 5:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 in her residence.
She was born December 22, 1961 in Clay County, IN to Harry Bridgewater and Norma (Ervin) Bridgewater.
Survivors include her husband, Mike May of Jasonville whom she married on September 16, 1996; children and spouses, Charla & Scott Byers of Midland, IN, Michael C. & Whitnea May of Jasonville, IN, Chrissy & Kevin Cesinger of Jasonville, IN, Eric & Melissa Head of Jasonville, IN; step-daughters and spouses, Michaela & Ashley Ellett of Lyons, IN, Leah Lewis & Scott of Terre Haute, IN; 15 grandchildren; sisters & brother-in-law, Harriet Bishop & Gary of Baltimore, MD, Beth Hyde of Terre Haute, IN; mother-in-law, Ruby May of Jasonville, IN; special friends, Roy & Teresa Head of Dugger, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nieces, Candy Schultz, April Dunbar.
Leila had worked as a CNA for Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center and then as manager of Jasonville Liquor Store for 10 years. She was an avid pet lover, loved going to the pet store and loved fishing. Leila loved her grandkids.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Rotman officiating.
Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
