DAVID EARL McCLANAHAN, 62, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1953 in Linton, IN to Byron Earl “Barney” McClanahan and Sueann (Thomas) McClanahan.

Survivors include his mother, Sueann McClanahan of Jasonville, IN; step-children, Shane, Selena, Jarred, Sarah, Jason; step-grandchildren, Stacie, Zachary, KateLynn; several nieces and nephews; several cousins, Linda & Terry Pahls of Anderson, IN, Janet Bledsoe of Oaklawn Park, FL, Steven & Carolyn Bledsoe of Anderson, IN, Marcie & Kel Kugler of Huntersburg, IN; Bob & Joann McClanahan of Penbroke Pines, FL, Mark & Ina McClanahan of IN; aunt, Annalee McClanahan of Odon, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Byron Earl “Barney” McClanahan on 2-21-1992; brother, Richard K. McClanahan on 1-12-2012; wife, Marsha (Greene) McClanahan on 12-16-2010.

David was a graduate of Shakamak High School. He had worked at Shakamak State Park, Keller Aluminum in Linton, Indiana State Highway Dept., and G.E. in Linton. He attended Lawton Street Christian Church. David loved listening to Arnold Murray on the radio, walking, gardening, yard work, and fixing things. He also was a Cardinal Baseball Fan.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
