CHARLES RAY MCKINLEY SR. 64, of Coalmont, Indiana passed away at 10:32 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 in Linton, IN.  

He was born February 16, 1953 in Sullivan, IN to Charles A. McKinley and Roberta L. (Danko) McKinley.

Survivors include his wife, Susan K. McKinley of Coalmont, IN whom he married on May 2, 1973; daughter, Heather McKinley of Linton, IN; sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn & Jan McKinley of Jasonville, IN, Charles R. McKinley Jr & Jennifer Mitchell of Terre Haute, IN, Christopher McKinley & Amy Brown of Terre Haute, IN; father, Charles A. McKinley of Jasonville, IN; 8 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne & Virgil Pilant of Lewis, IN; brothers and sister-in-law, Bryan Joe McKinley of Jasonville, IN, Darrell & RaeAnn McKinley of Jasonville, IN; aunts & uncles, several  nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roberta L. McKinley; grandson, Austin Bradbury.

Charles worked for Asplundh as a tree trimmer for many years and owned and operated the Shakamak Outdoorsman Bait Shop in Jasonville, IN. He retired from the Army National Guard out of Brazil after 20 years of service and was a member of the Hymera American Legion Post #298. Charles loved fishing and floating the river.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cox Funeral Home with Funeral Services immediately following with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. As he requested cremation followed.

In lieu of flowers contributions were made in memory of Charles to Hymera American Legion. Envelopes were available at the funeral home.
