DAWSON C. MCKINNEY, 18, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 1:31 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis, IN.

He was born June 7, 1999 in Clay County, IN to Michael A. McKinney and Dorothy C. (Sullivan) McKinney.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Dorothy McKinney of Jasonville; siblings, Alyssa Twomey of Jasonville, Kiana McKinney of Washington, Jesse McKinney of Washington; maternal grandparents, Harold and Alana Pullum of Jasonville; paternal grandparents, Brenda and Randy Grigsby of Washington, Larry and Rose McKinney of Hardinsburg, IN; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Dana Duncan and Reagan Hammond.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Howard and Betty Salesman.

Dawson was a student at Bloomfield High School. He enjoyed being read to and loved watching TV especially Blue’s Clues, and attending the Jasonville Church of God.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from Noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation at 1 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Dana Duncan officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
