MELISSA MAE HEAD, 33, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was born July 13, 1984 in Niles, MI to Kim A. Shepherdson (Hartman).
Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Eric S. Head of Jasonville; children, Lydia, Hudson, and Kennedy Head at home; mother, Kimberly Shepherdson of Sullivan; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Teresa Head of Dugger; father-in-law, Mike May of Jasonville; siblings, Jennica Bortz of Niles, MI, Christopher Bortz of Niles, MI and Adam Shepherdson of Niles, MI; special niece and nephew, Hannah Cesinger and Jordan Alejandre; sisters-in-law, Chrissy Cesinger and Kevin of Jasonville, Roxane Alejandre of Niles, MI; brother-in-law, Michael May and Whitnea of Jasonville.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Beverly Wruck; mother-in-law, Leila May; and a very special niece, Leila Bortz.
Melissa was a stay at home mom, who loved spending time with her children. She loved to shop, look for antiques, and decorate for the holidays with her kids. She loved to listen to music no matter what she was doing. She especially loved to spend time with her sister Jennica. Melissa will be loved forever and always missed more than she will ever know.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, 2017 and 9 a.m.-2 p.m until service time Wednesday. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Talpas officiating. As Melissa requested, Cremation followed funeral services.
