MELVIE WILEY, 80, of Midland, IN passed away at 12:41 P.M. Sunday, March 22, 2020 in her residence in Midland, IN.
She was born April 20, 1939 in Short Bend Branch, West Virginia to Jacob Adkins and Irene (Watts) Adkins.
Survivors include her children, Elva S. Wiley (Sharon) of Midland, IN, Maggie Jewel Templeton of Greenwood, IN, Cora Belle Chittenden (Robert) of Jasonville, IN, George D. Wiley of Jasonville, IN, Melvie Ellen Wiley Edwards (Joe) of Midland, IN, Calleen Wiggington (Gene) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, .
She was preceded in death by her husband Elva Wood Wiley; daughter, Bertha Irene
Blanton.
Melvie worked as a cook for the Indianapolis Public Schools. She liked to sew, crochet and go fishing, she especially catch sunfish.
