MSG RAYMOND E. BRADBURY JR., US ARMY (RET) “RAYBOYS”, 74, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 7:15 P.M. Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born June 15, 1949 in Sullivan, IN to Raymond E. Bradbury Sr. and Clara Bernice (Jenkins) Bradbury.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Iris A. Bradbury of Jasonville, IN who he married on August 4, 1972; children, Bo Samm (Stacy) of Jasonville, IN, Eric Bradbury (Krystal) of Lebanon, IN, Rae Ann Rogers (Kenneth) of Sullivan, IN, Andy Bradbury of Jasonville, IN, Jennifer Padgett (Marvin) of Shelburn, IN; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Mariah, Ayden, Collyn, Haley, Ethan, Isaac, Issiah, Raymond, Cody, Adam, Kaleb, Garret, Emily, Justin; 18 –  great-grandchildren; aunt, Dorothy Grady of Jasonville, IN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Shirley Pigg and Carolyn Sue Smith.    .

Raymond graduated from Shakamak High School. He served in the US Army in Vietnam for 2 years and in the Indiana Army National Guard for 20 years. Raymond and his wife owned and operated a liquor store in Hymera, he also worked in Heating/Refrigeration. He also had worked for Swift in Worthington, Raymond was an avid coon hunter, fisherman and billiards player. He also liked working in the garden.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 8 P.M. with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating, followed by Military Honors. In keeping with Raymond’s wishes cremation will be scheduled following services.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Rayboys to Brown Baggers of Sullivan. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
