BARBARA K. NASH, 69, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in her residence.
She was born September 9, 1943 in Farmersburg, IN to Cecil Wilson and Kiva (Pittman) Wilson.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Kenneth R. “Buck” Nash of Shelburn, IN whom she married on June 23, 1962; granddaughters, Kelsey Nash and Kiva Nash; grandson, Harcourt Alton; daughter-in-law, Angie Nash of Shelburn, IN; sister, Betty Pullum of Farmersburg, IN; brother, William & Anita Wilson of Farmersburg, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Nash; two infant brothers and brother, Bob Wilson; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Wilson.
Barbara was a 1961 graduate of North Central High School. She was a member of the Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Barbara liked to cook and was involved with many church activities-she was Head of the Kitchen Committee, was a Member of the Ladies Missionary Group, and was involved with Church Camp. She was vice-president in charge of the Personal Line’s Dept. of A.I.M. Insurance in Indianapolis for several years. Barbara also volunteered as a Teacher’s Aide and was involved with many activities that Kelsey was active in.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Hill officiating.
Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, IN.
