NORIETTA MAYE (SHONK) MYERS, 82, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 8:10 P.M. Wednesday, September 30, 2020 in Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born May 3, 1938 in Owen County, IN to Noah David Shonk and Lillian Katherine (Steuernagel) Shonk.

Norietta married Carl E. Myers on August 7, 1954 and he passed away on April 9, 2003.

Survivors include her children, Carl Wayne Myers (Jeanette) of Merritt Island, FL, Tom Myers (Robin) of Jasonville, IN, Keith Myers of Jasonville, IN, Connie Watters of Linton, IN, Marilyn Kramer (Gary) of Jasonville, IN, Mary Frady of Jasonville, IN, Edna Myers (Shawn Greene) of Madison, IN, Dylan Myers (Megan) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Brandi Cox (Joby), Dusty Myers, Kensey Kennett (John), Trent Myers (Audrey), Karie Watters, Kent Kramer (Brittney), Kurt Kramer (Ashley) Kyle Kramer (Michelle), Niki Otte (Joe), Evan Ehrreich (Jamie), Lacie Cramer, Jessica Hineman, Jacob Hines, Kendra Keller, Carl “CJ” Keller, Abel Myers, Eli Myers; great-grandchildren,  Draven, Jaxon, Owen, Max, Avery, Gracie Jo, Theron, Taylin, Hattie, Kash, Preslee, Paislee, Kasen, Jase, Parker, Briar, Reece, Karly, Faith, Chase, Emily, Skyler, Cameron, Cooper, Laila, Zachary, Alexira, Jesse; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother-Paul David “Buck” Shonk, sisters-Mary Lou Wright, Keitha Richey.

Norietta worked as a nurses aid in her early years at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center, Glenburn Home and Linton Nursing Home. She attended and was a member of Jasonville Assembly of God Church. Norietta loved to cook for her family and others, some of her favorites were sugar cream pie, bread pudding and oatmeal cake.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 2 P.M. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
