NORMA ILENE (TURNER) KIRK, 91, of Farmersburg, IN passed away at 11:41 P.M. Friday, January 6, 2023 in her home.

She was born September 18, 1931 in Carlisle, IN to Winfield Scott Turner and Lena (Spoonmore) Turner.

Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Oscar Kirk Jr. of Farmersburg, IN, whom she married on June 12, 1948; children, Oscar Kirk lll (Salvacion) of Worthington, IN, Kristie Harper (Brad) of Newburgh, IN, Trisha Braasch of Florence, KY, Martin Kirk of Sullivan, IN; grandchildren, Michelle Furniss (Zach), Alyssa Kirk, Angela Fields, Terry Malone, Pamela Malone, Victoria Bryant (Cody), Mary Harper, Chelsea White (Jacob), Melissa Braasch, Amanda Braasch-Richards (Brian), Sarah Braasch, Joshua Braasch, Rebekah Braasch (Chris Demoss), Karie Hunter (Chip), Cody Atherton, Liz Curry (Brandon); 27 –  great-grandchildren; 3 – great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene Turner of Madison, IN, James Turner of Carmel, IN, Merle Turner (Dartha) of Chipley, FL, Paul Turner (Kay) of Wheatland, IN, Robert Turner (Janice) of Vincennes, IN; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Norman Turner; sisters, Mary Buffington, Evelyn Ruble; son in-law, Phillip Braasch; daughter in-law, Tonia Kirk; grandson in-law, Scott Fields.

Norma collected cookie jars and cook books. She enjoyed reading, baking cookies and bread and gardening and canning. She was a member of Shelburn Church of God and was known as a prayer warrior to many. Norma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. She loved her family dearly.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from Noon to 2 P.M. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Pastor Richard Warren officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
