JOSEPH MORRIS NORRICK, 83, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 11:48 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 in his residence.

He was born June 26, 1930 in Princeton, IN to Joseph Lawrence Norrick and Matilda Norrick Manning.

Survivors include his wife, Christine L. “Chris” (Butler) Norrick of Jasonville, IN whom he married on June 24, 1995; daughters & son-in-law, Nancy Norrick Swift & Guy of Oklahoma City, OK, Anita Eytchison of Farmersburg, IN; son, Joseph Lawrence Norrick of New Castle, IN; grandchildren, Eric Norrick, Amanda Ewald, Bradly Norrick, Adam Norrick, Russell Lee Eytchison, Rosemary Ann Eytchison, Scott Anthony Hughes; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Michael Norrick; brothers, Hoover Norrick, David Manning, Roy Manning; sister, Julie Mitchell.

Joseph was a carpenter-millwright and later worked at Cord Factory in Jasonville, IN. He was a member of the Worthington American Legion Post #106 and Worthington VFW Post #7117. He was a POW of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. A Gathering of Friends was scheduled Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. service time at the Funeral Home. Memorial Services were 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Chaplain Danny Pruett officiating. Military Rites followed.
