DARLA JEAN (MILLER) PADGETT, 68, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 10:27 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital of cancer.
She was born June 28, 1946 in Terre Haute, IN to Paul and Tressie (Bennett) Miller.
Survivors include her daughters, Thea Hollingsworth of Fountain, CO, Talisha “Tish” Crane of Terre Haute, IN; sons, Kevin Crichfield of Sullivan, IN, Shane Padgett of Jasonville, IN, Heath Padgett of Jasonville, IN, Travis “TJ” Padgett of San Antonio, TX; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Butch” Padgett, April 1997; sister, Pauline Peltier; brothers, Ronald Miller, Robert Miller; grandson, Carl Ray James Crichfield.
Darla was a homemaker.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.
The family requested that casual clothing such as blue jeans be worn to the funeral.
Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
