PHILLIP LOWELL WASNIDGE, 80, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away 12:08 a.m. Saturday June 19, 2010 at the Sullivan County Community Hospital. Phillip was born in Jasonville, Indiana on December 25, 1929 to Lowell Wasnidge and Olive (Yeryar) Wasnidge. He married his wife of 58 years Naomi (Arnac) Wasnidge on April 4, 1952.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Wasnidge of Jasonville; daughter & son-in-law, Barbara & Rick Hall of Jasonville; son & daughter-in-law, Phil & Sheila Wasnidge of Jasonville; brothers, Claude Wasnidge and Jerry Wasnidge both of Jasonville; sister, Dejah Wier of Jasonville; grandchildren, Jessica Irish, Shane Wasnidge, Logan Lynch, Caleb Wasnidge, Ryan Hall, Jennifer Lay, and Stephanie Burnett; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Phillip retired from Pfizer after 42 years, was a member of Jasonville American Legion Post #172, and served in the Army during the Korean War.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation  was 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services were Noon June 23, 2010 with Pastor Dean Hartman and Pastor Warren Allen officiating. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery, Midland, Indiana with military graveside rites.
