JULIA (BOES) PILANT, 91, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:09 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2016 at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN.
She was born December 23, 1925 in Edgar County, IL to William J. “Bill” and Martha (Jordan) Boes.
Julia married David Pilant on October 21, 1944 who passed away in November 1994.
Survivors include daughter, Donna Rose (Street) Weinbrecht of Coalmont, IN; sons and daughters-in-law,
Norman and Brenda Pilant of Jasonville,IN, John W. “Bill” and Robin Pilant of Lewis; grandchildren, Lisa Kirk, Kimberly and Bruce Kates, Gwen and Ronnie Edmonson, Arthur and Brandy Pilant, John Michael and Tammy Street, David Weinbrecht and Inge, John William Pilant Jr. and Lora, Sarah and Jason Cullisan, David and Cathy Pilant; 27 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beulah “Janie” Clingerman of Fort Myers, FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Pilant; brothers, Reanis Boes, Howard Boes, Cecil Boes, Russell Boes, Richard Boes, Donald Boes; sister, Bernice Hayden; grandsons, Eric Street, Troy Street; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Street; son-in-law, Larry Weinbrecht.
Julia was a Hairdresser for 50 years. She was a member of Jasonville United Methodist Church and was very active for over 60 years. She loved quilting, crocheting and enjoyed keeping busy.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 10:00 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2016 at the Cox Funeral Home with Rev Marvin Cheek officiating.
Interment was at Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis, IN.
