WERT A. POINTER, JR. 91, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in his son’s residence.
He was born February 24, 1924 in Coalmont, IN to Wert Andrew Pointer and Lola (Huebanks) Pointer.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Martin) Pointer of Jasonville, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Andrew A. & Laura Pointer of Dugger, IN, David L. & Mari Pointer of Niles, MI; step-sons & daughters-in-law, Tim & Sandra Woods of LaPorte, IN, Tod & Joann Woods of Valparaiso, IN, Tyler & Shannon Woods of LaPorte, IN; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lee Pointer, Calvin Pointer, James Pointer; sister, Mary Griffith.
Wert was a retired machinist from Torrington Bearing Company. He attended the Jasonville Assembly of God Church and Calvary Baptist Church in Linton, IN.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cox Funeral Home. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Riker officiating.
Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
